• Can not update theme settings of my blog site, after setting up Wordfence.

maybe this thing is preventing to edit theme panel, can you tell me how can I whitelist this (theme panel) from Wordfence Security?

this thing was shown 2/3 months ago when I first installed Wordfence.

Hi @odommo, thanks for seeking our help!

This looks to me like a job for Learning Mode! From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, in this case editing your theme settings, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ is an amazing resource for learning more about the WAF and learning mode.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi @odommo,

Unfortunately we cannot request user credentials as part of our free Wordfence version support. Are you able to allowlist the action by confirming the ‘false positive’ checkbox on the 403 error page you’re seeing?

    Thanks,

    Peter.
