cannot update wordfence, error

    updating wordfence i get the following error:

    “An error occurred while updating Wordfence Security: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. lib/.htaccess.bak, tmp/.htaccess.bak”

    What’s the fix for this issue?

    Hi,
    Please connect to your website via FTP (using FileZilla for example) and delete these two files (wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/.htaccess.bak) and (wp-content/plugins/wordfence/tmp/.htaccess.bak) then re-try updating the plugin again.
