cannot use spaces in the date

Hi,

I cannot use spaces in the date. For example, if I use:

[field date date_format=F/j/Y g:i A]

then only the month/day/year shows. If I take the space out between the Y and g, then the hour:minutes show.

What am I doing wrong?
