Cannot write files on UNC path

    First, I know permissions are correct, WordPress itself works fine. This is an issue just with the nextgen gallery. I’m hosting on an IIS farm with a file share cluster backend, so content is hosted over a UNC path. For whatever reason Nextgen cannot save to this. When I try and upload or create a new gallery I get the error below.

    Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/meh!
    Directory wp-content/gallery/meh is not writeable !
    Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/meh/thumbs !

    Again, permissions are correct. I can manage content with WordPress, update and install plugins, upload images, etc just fine. It is ONLY nextgen.
