I’ve just tested the SameAs function and it works properly and saves the fields when I update it or change it. Maybe there is something conflicting with the Theme you are using or another plugin. Switching to a default WordPress theme or disabling plugins one by one may lead to discover what is causing this.

I wonder what URL you have specified in the the field. It should not be a URL of a page you have published on your site.

    From schema.org (source link):

URL of a reference Web page that unambiguously indicates the item’s identity. E.g. the URL of the item’s Wikipedia page, Wikidata entry, or official website.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you for the reply.
I was a confusion with sameAs and rel=”canonical”. Now I know that both things are not the same.
    Thanks for the explanation.
