Can't access Dashboard
-
I’m getting a permissions error when I try to log-in to the WordPress console on my website, i get taken to a page saying, “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. Is there a known fix for this as I’m rather puzzled?
Thanks

Could this be because the domain was changed a week or so back? The site used to be on marinecourtapartment.co.uk not the current plural apartmentS, so the log-in may be confused? I can’t get it to send a new password as it doesn’t seem to recognise any that I try.
How did you change that name – correctly?

The message you are getting is not from WP – so you may want to check with your hosting company if the above all seem okay.
I don’t know, the hosts did it for me, so probably not! 😉
They were the ones that told me to ask here! I’ve sent on your links, so hopefully that PHP password change might unlock things, but if it isn’t WP blocking access I’m not sure. This is what I see:
Firefox can’t find the server at http://www.marinecourtapartment.co.uk
That’s a DNS or server problem.
Hi,
That address was the original one but the site is now reached from it’s plural: http://marinecourtapartments.co.uk/
I have a feeling that this is what is causing the issue?
Thanks for your help.I can get in via FTP, so is there a way around this that way do you think?
My hosts finally pulled their finger out and got in through the PHP fix. So, thanks for pointing me toward that WPyogi, I appreciate it. 🙂
Glad to hear that :)!
