Hi. My websites are all updated and everything works fine.

However, I logged in one of them today and I simply can’t use Yoas SEO. Whenever I edit or create a new post/page, this is the way Yoast SEO appears at the bottom.

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/zMVYSrfyWGeDGb8V9

    I tried the following:

    – Deactivating and activating the plugin again
    – Uninstalling and installing again
    – Deactivating all the other plugins

    Nothing seems to work 🙁

I also searched about, deactivated cache and changed the settings to show Yoast SEO on posts/pages.

    No luck 🙁

    Any suggestions?

  • @danigma We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

blank meta box issue occurs due to a JavaScript conflict. So we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

Can you please try using the guide here and checking whether there are any JavaScript errors displayed in your browsers console?: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

Also, Can you please confirm you are using the most recent version of Yoast SEO version 16.0.2

    Hi, devnihil! Thanks!

    I’ve taken a screenshot: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1adCtdE3UaSXdSAdA

Yes, I’m using Yoast SEO 16.0.2
    Yes, my WordPress is 5.7

This problem started after the automatic update.

    Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the relevant screenshot with us. Per your screenshot, there’s a javascript error coming from the Yoast SEO plugin and that’s causing the issue.

In this case, we’d like you to please perform a full conflict check first. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

You can perform the full conflict check by following the steps given here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

Hi, Md Mazedul Islam Khan. Thanks for the reply.

    I’ve done the conflict check.

When I entered the Troubleshooting Mode and used only Yoast SEO the problem persisted.

I tried deactivating and activating the plugin again, no change.

    What do you suggest now?

    Thanks.

    Hi @danigma,

Thanks for doing the conflict check. We’re not getting the same error using the latest versions of Yoast SEO and WordPress, so it sounds like there’s something causing an error.

To help us troubleshoot, we’d like to get the following information:

    1. . Check your PHP error log for any error messages. You can do this by enabling WordPress debugging or contact your web host.

    2. Does clearing your cache from caching plugins, the server, a CDN like Cloudflare, or the browser resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear the cache from a plugin, please contact the plugin author. If you’d like to clear the cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser, use this guide: How to clear your browser’s cache.

    Hi, Priscilla!

I’m so sorry I took your time. I did so many things to fix but I totally FORGOT to clear the cache on Cloudflare.

I just did this and everything is working normally. Thank you for suggesting it!

    😀

@danigma Thanks for confirming that this has corrected it. We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved but please let us know if you require any further assistance.
