Can’t activate 2-Factor Authentication

I have tried Authy and Google Authentication apps, but when it scans the code and gives me the number (which it correctly associates with my site) I enter the number and activate and the Authentication App NEVEr get’s the confirmation. instead it keeps generating new numbers no matter how quickly I enter and send. From wordfences end it goes “ok, it’s activated” and from Authy or Google’s end it goes, ok, here’s your new code… 3 seconds.. ok, here’s your new code… 30 seconds… here’s your new code………………………………….
