Did you install it directly from the main plugin repo? I would try deleting it and reinstalling, as we’ve never seen that sort of error before (and it definitely has a plugin header, or it couldn’t be on the plugin repository).
Hi, I had installed it using ‘new plugin’ in the dashboard of WordPress.
I also tried to download the plugin from ww.wp.xz.cn but then I get ‘failed’ on the download.
I have deleted the plugin in my wordpress dashboard, installed it again but when I want to activate it I get the same error message.
Could be a caching issue with the server/network, I’d ask your webhost, or just wait a day and see if the busted cache clears itself. I just tested it myself and it worked fine (we’ve had 48k downloads today with no one else reporting problems).
Hi, I have the same issue: “The plugin has no valid ‘header’“. I’ve installed it twice and I get the same error message. Any solution?
I did a bit more searching on the issue, and it seems the most common problem is caching, but not quite the sort that I was thinking of. When you install the plugin, navigate over to the Plugins list, and try activating from there. If that doesn’t work, flush all caches, especially database/object caches, and try again.
If you’re still stuck, talk to your webhost to see if they can help, but this is completely beyond anything we can address from our end.
Fixed. It worked when I activated it from Plugins list. Thanks!
Glad that worked, we also found out I accidentally copied the plugin folder inside itself during the release process, which doubles the plugin zip file. That’s been sorted, so if anyone hasn’t been able to get the installer working, give it another try and it should work fine now!
