    Hello,

Can’t activate the Wordfence Web Application Firewall :

    message error :
The changes have not yet taken effect. If you are using LiteSpeed or IIS as your web server or CGI/FastCGI interface, you may need to wait a few minutes for the changes to take effect since the configuration files are sometimes cached. You also may need to select a different server configuration in order to complete this step, but wait for a few minutes before trying. You can try refreshing this page.

looked in the php/user.ini to add manualy the code “auto_prepend_file etc…”
    the code is already inside.

called my host, tried all the web server’s configuration ; apache, litespeed, nginx etc
    same issue

    what can i do please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @nicopointcom,

In order to make sure which Firewall setup you should be using:

    • Go to the Wordfence Tools page
    • Click the Diagnostics tab
    • In the Other Tests section (near the bottom of the page), click the link that reads “Click to view your system’s configuration in a new window“. This will open a Wordfence System Info page

Check the Server API field. Is it consistent with the parameter which is “Recommended based on our tests“?

The issue could also be caused by the .user.ini file not being processed correctly.

Could you also please confirm the PHP version you’re running?

    Hello,

    I apologize if i did’nt reply, i totally forget.
Unfortunately for a bug security reason i had to remplace this plugin by anotherone three weeks ago.
Then this case can be closed (i understood thats your new update had fixed that).

I keep an eye on your great plugin for the futur in any case.
    Thanks for your job.

    Best,
    Nico
