what happens when you add a language? See some error?
Does not show any error
And I can not activate the language that I want
But works for portuguese and english

What language do you want to install more, is it in the available list?
You use Language – Action – Enable?
I want to enable the freench language, but when I try

switch off temporarily qTranslate Slug and see if that makes a difference
The same thing happens…
It works perfectly for English and Portuguese , but I’m not able to add other languages
Is there any possibility of manually activating another language?
Only really need to have the site in Portuguese , English and French

Try a reset:
Settings – Languages – Import/Export
Reset qTranslate
Check this box and click Save Changes to reset all qTranslate settings.
and
Yes, I really want to reset qTranslate.
A Reset won’t delete any posts but will remove all settings (including all languages added).

temporarily deactivate all other plugins.
The problem is my wordpress version…Do you have a version of your plugin that works at version 3.8.8 of wordpress?

why not update WordPress?
qTranslate X requires at least: 3.9
