Can't add domains punycode problem

    Hello!

    I have a multisite with 6 sites (subfolder install). Sites 1-5 should have the same domain and I want a different domain for site 6.

    My domain is säkrahjärtan.se (= xn--skrahjrtan-q5af.se).

    I start with entering my IP and I try to add my domains. If I enter Site ID 1 and domain xn--skrahjrtan-q5af.se (which is my primary domain I guess) and hit save nothing happens.

    In the plugin I see that you can’t save domains for Site ID 1 ($_POST[ ‘blog_id’ ] != 1) though I don’t understand why. Should I just add the domain for Site ID 2 instead?

    If I enter the domain with Site ID 1 into the database directly, the links to my other sites stop working and the links to the WordPress dashboard are changed into “skrahjrtan.se”.

    Thankful for any advice.

    In the plugin I see that you can’t save domains for Site ID 1 ($_POST[ ‘blog_id’ ] != 1) though I don’t understand why.

    Mapping a domain to the main site interferes with site lookup in some instances.

    Also, you cannot map paths, just domains & you can only map a domain to one site. If you were looking to looking to map the same domain to the first 5 sites you won’t be able to do that with DM.

    Does this mean that I can’t use DM on a Sub-directories Multisite?

    you can only map a domain to one site

    The first 5 sites are working fine without the plugin. So those 5 don’t need any mapping, I just want to use a different domain for the sixth site. Possible?

    You can map multiple domains to one site. The primary radio is for selecting which domain/url the front end site lives at.

    ex. domaina.com is primary, domainb.com also mapped to same site then domainb.com redirects to domaina.com.

    I just want to use a different domain for the sixth site. Possible?

    Yes, that’s what the plugin is for.

    Okay, then I’ll just add 1 domain and select this domain for the sixth site. And since there is only 1 domain for the sixth site I guess the primary checkbox doesn’t matter. And I leave sites 1-5 as they are. Thank’s for clearing things up a bit!
