    Hi,
In my text editor I can’t seem to add hyperlinks the way I used to. I am highlighting my anchor text and clicking on the curly button but I can’t add any links i.e. I cant type anything into the grey dialogue box. By pressing the down arrow key, I can only select links to my existing pages. I have to resort to using html mode and manually typing to the html linking code. I am not exactly a tech guy but is it a problem with any of the plugins I use? I use: Askiment, All-in-one social media connector, Virtual form builder, Jetpack, mailchimp,wp-testimonials and wp-google fonts.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi Esmi,
The problem seemed to be with the web invoice plugin. That seemed to resolved the problem. If people can;t afford to deactivate the plugin, I guess they can try hyperlinking manually, or hyperlinking in MS-word and then by pasting it on their editor. Thanks for your help!!
