Hello @taxick ,
Glad you reached out, happy to help!
Thank you for the screenshots 🙂
PayPal Donations can be a bit stubborn when you’re trying to connect for the first time. I sometimes have to try 2-3 times, and found that connecting in an incognito/private browser works best.
Here’s what I do when the connection is being troublesome:
- Open an Incognito or private browser instance using a web browser you don’t normally use. For example, we use Chrome as our default browser, but I’ll use a private browser session with Firefox or Safari for the PayPal connection instead
- Once in the browser, login back into your admin. If you are NOT prompted to login, you should be, so use a different browser app.
- Navigate back to the GiveWP > Settings > Payment Gateways – PayPal Donations screen
- Click the Connect with PayPal Live button
- Login to your PayPal account
- It says it will redirect you back to your previous screen, but that does not always happen, so go back manually if needed
- You might see an error like in your screenshot. Refresh the screen and if it displays a link that says to Recheck Account Status, click that. That usually takes care of it.
- If you still see a connection error, try the process again
- After the errors go away, click the Save Changes at the bottom of the screen and that should be the end of it!
The good news is this is a one-time connection, so you won’t have to encounter this again on the same website.
Let us know how things go after working through the above! 👍
Hi, @gscoolidge
