I am a longtime user of Updraft Plus. I installed the plugin long ago on a blog but never updated the settings so it backed anything up. I did so today, and after clicking on the message “UpdraftPlus notice: Click here to authenticate your Dropbox account (you will not be able to back up to Dropbox without it),” it redirects to a blank page – no pop-up window. Nothing. I contacted my host, who said it was a plugin issue (vs. host or WP issue). Thoughts?

    Hi,

A blank page usually means that WordPress crashed. If you edit your wp-config.php file and change the WP_DEBUG setting from its current value of false to true, then when you try again, instead of a blank page, you may get an error message instead. So, give that a go.

Also – try disabling any other plugins you have that are using Dropbox, in case there is a conflict.

Finally – do any warnings or errors show on the UpdraftPlus settings page, or in the configuration section for Dropbox?

    Best wishes,
    David

Thanks, David. I’ll try what you suggested (later tonight, after baby bedtime) 😉

    I’m getting:
Warning: You do not appear to be authenticated with Dropbox (whilst deleting)
You do not appear to be authenticated with Dropbox

    On the Updraft options page.
