• Hi Marcus,
I installed the plugin for the first time and use it to troubleshoot. I have switch my theme to twenty-twenty. After testing, I disabled the Safe Mode but my original theme did not return. I tried deactivate the plugin, but my theme was still not showing. Please advise.

I have to manually activated my theme and all my plugins.

    Hi @francoc30,

Sorry if the plugin did this unintentionally. Normally plugins and themes only get switched whilst WPSM is enabled and turned on and then reverts back once you turn it off.

Can you tell me the steps you took, so I could try to reproduce this? I’d need exact screens and links to click on.

This is a paradox, but the only way to double-check this bug is by doing what WPSM was made for… you’d need to try deactivating your plugins, turn on WPSM and see if that switches your theme. If not, then try another theme such as twenty nineteen and switch to 2020, to see if that’s the cause.

It could also be a plugin in your mu-plugins folder, that’s more likely since by default MU plugins don’t get deactivated. To fix that, you can rename the mu-plugins folder temporarily so it’s not loaded at all.

If you don’t want to do any of that (I understand it’s laborious), maybe you could send me a summary of your site? To do that go to your WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info (top of page) and then click the ‘copy to clipboard’ button. Then, send that over via https://msyk.es/contact-me/
