Can’t connect ot wordpress using FTP

    Hey guys, I am new to wordpress. Pretty much everything seems confusing to me. Now I have a website, which I have downloaded using filezilla. I want to create sort of test website because of all the plugins.
    I want to move the files I downloaded to root of this new site, hovewer I get error using filezilla on this new site.
    Now, is there a way I could find login details trough ftp ? Also, I havent recived any mail from wp so far, so it is unclear for me how to get those files on server.
