    I just installed TEC on a pretty new installation and don’t see the menu item to add a new event. I tried to access the page to add a new event through the setup wizard but it says that I need higher permissions. I’m already logged in as an administrator, in fact it’s the only user account.

    Any ideas? Been using TEC for a while and this is the first time I’ve run into this.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    We’ve seen this occur on user roles that don’t have the manage_options and other capabilities. As such, I recommend reviewing the capabilities assigned to your user’s role to see if the necessary capabilities exists (see Editing User Roles and Permissions).
