Can’t create tables.

    If I use ‘localhost’ for the server, it produces the typical no connection error.

    If I use ‘servername.serverhost.net’ then install.php will try to run but throws a lengthy error.

    and what happens if you use the real fully qualified domain name?

    and if you are using that as an example, thats fine, but please be prepared to let us know thats an example.

    As to the error, a lengthy error isnt intuitive to those of us that cant read it. Got copy & paste?

    As it turns out, apparently this is a bug with WP 2.3.3
