CAN’T DEACTIVATE

What the heck. I’m doing plugin cleanup and want to deactivate and uninstall your plugin, but I CAN’T.

First, you make me answer a questionnaire just to ALLOW me to deactivate your plugin. When I go ahead and do that and hit Deactivate, it does NOT deactivate. It stays active.

If I go directly to the plugins directory and delete it there, then I’m stuck with an error message on my plugins page telling me there is a problem deactivating the plugin because it does not exist.

What. The. Hell.

HOW DO I DEACTIVATE THIS PLUGIN?
