Could you add
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
in you wp-config.php file, delete again the plugin, and report back the text available in the file “wp-content/debug.log”?

The plugin can be deleted. I tried to help you do so, asking you more information about the issue you face which is not replicable.

I put this in a number of time and once caused my file folder to become unsable.
Also, there is no wp-content/debug.log folder or can’t find it.
Did you add something to stop peopel from deleting it?
You need to find another way or start to think what to do, not impressed with IMDB I really thought they could be trusted, obviously not.

Hi @carl76 do you run into any errors when trying to delete the plugin?
If so, what are the errors?
If this specific plugin somehow prevents itself from being deleted, that would be against the guidelines which plugin developers must follow to be listed here, and might be something that we’ll need to address in WordPress core.
Alternatively, it might be a problem specific to your server setup, which volunteers here at ww.wp.xz.cn would be happy to help you look into.
Also, do you have any trouble deleting other plugins?

Hello again @carl76 I had a chance to test this and had no issue deactivating and deleting the plugin, so that suggests to me there may be a problem with your site or server, and I assume that also means you have this problem with all other plugins too.

I dont have one thank you!
Now! I can’t delete that plugin and now I can’t even activate it now, before I could activate it, so who knows what happened?

And there’s no error in the Dashboard when you try to delete or activate it?
To forcibly remove it, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the whole /lumiere-movies/ directory there.

Shall I still use the method above to forcibly remove it?

I AM GETTING VERY ANXIOUS NOW.
If I TRY TO DELETE IT THE WAY YOU SAID, IT CAN CAUSE MY SITE TO CRASH AND POSSIBLY KEEP CRASHING AND WHO WANTS THERE SITE TO KEEP CRASHING? … NOT ME . PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY AND GIVE ME A GOOD SOLUTION THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. I INSTALLED THE PLUGIN IN GOOD FAITH THAT IT WILL NOT BE CORRUPT OR CORRUPT MY SITE. PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE, AS I SAID I NEED YOU TO FIX THE ISSUE THAT I DIDN’T CREATE.

Hi
OK I was able to delete plugin using wp/content/plugin. Thank You. I tried installing it again but it still won’t activate. I get the message.
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Any ideas on what I can do to activate it again?
