Can’t delete Wordfence

    Hello,

    Sorry to hear the trouble that you are having.

    Are you able to access the WordPress administration screen at all or do you still have a white screen when attempting to login to WordPress?

    Depending on your answer I will be able to give you further instructions.

    Hello wfphill,

    Yes, I can, because I restore my website from backup. So, I’m able to access the WordPress administration screen.

    Hello,

    That’s great if you have a good working backup just in case. We are going to deactivate Wordfence a different way.

    1. First delete the Wordfence directory in the plugins directory.
    2. Hopefully you should be able to login into WordPress.
    3. Now you need to install our companion plugin, Wordfence Assistant.
    4. Then run through all options and everything should be completely removed for you.
