@fulltronservice when you say that you deleted the folder and the maintenance it’s still showing up, you mean the page that end users can see?
Yes, as I mentioned above, I have a WordPress Multisite installation.
When I try to configure the plugin it just doesn’t appear to me, I have to go to specific places (Plugin Management for example) so that the Under Construction Widget comes out because it doesn’t appear in Settings. Now, it turns out that when you deactivate the plugin everything seems OK but when I reload the page the plugin comes out of nowhere again. For this reason, I try to delete the plugin from the folder but it keeps showing up and I don’t understand why.
@fulltronservice this seems cache somewhere in your hosting… Do you have cloudflare? If so, try to disable or purge cache after disabling plugin…
Good, I am not using CloudFlare and the LSCache deactivated it while working on the site.
That is precisely the strange thing, that there is no cache but it is failing and I do not explain why.
I’m having the same issue. I have deleted the files on the server. I have no cache in the cache folder and yet I can not get the Under Construction to go.
Error message on Plugin page.
The plugin under-construction-page/under-construction.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
Where shall I look for that file on the server as it looks like it still exist.
kapitibusiness.nz
I’m hoping you can help please
Angela
@fulltronservice strange. Every time this happens, it’s always cache related. Try to go to the plugin directory and delete the plugin folder and check if it goes away. If not, it is cache.
@thewebwizards seems like you didn’t delete everything or you have PHP cache going on there. As @fulltronservice, this is cache related.
@fulltronservice anyway, when I get into the kapitibusiness.nz website, I do not see the under-construction page but rather the production content.
@manuelrocha88 That was telling you, there is no cache either by the htaccess or CloudFlare or by the browser (I have disabled the browser cache from Chrome DevTools and / or Edge DevTools.
I can remove it from the WordPress folder and yet it still appears.
@manuelrocha88 That page you mention to me there is from the other person I commented on.
In my case I had to use a snapshot of the site to reverse the change (And yes, a snapshot not a backup)
@fulltronservice and even with the snapshot is it still there?
Mine resolved itself over night, maybe server side did something.
