Can't edit draft post after editing shortlink

In editing a draft post, I stupidly edited the shortlink after hitting ‘Get shortlink’ to a new post-slash suffix (I chose a string that includes a hyphen, in case that helps understand what then went wrong).

Now when I try to edit the post, the URL opens with the old shortlink code embedded, but the page is blank (nothing to edit, no peripheral WordPress functions visible, &c.). Manually changing the URL to include the new shortlink code just sends me back to the main all posts page.

The post itself remains listed there, and also accessible as a preview.
