The sidebars are working just fine but it’s doing something to the editing capacity in the background of my WordPress site – so I’m editing a post and then it disappears, or the editing buttons disappear – or I just tried to add a new page to my header menus and I had to deactivate the Columns plug-in first before it would show up properly. Obviously that is not ideal…

i would be sorry not to be able to use the plug-in anymore – and it would be a pain as I would have to work something out for the posts which have their own sidebars…

I’m hoping you can do something to help?

There’s nothing to see on the site itself, but the link is http://mirrorswindowsdoors.org/wp/

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hi @marjc,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

We’ll definitely help you to resolve the issue but we need some more information about the issue so that we can reproduce it on our site.

I had to deactivate the Columns plug-in first before it would show up properly.

Is the issue causing by Columns plug-in or Custom Sidebars plugin?

This can also be due to plugin/theme conflict.

To find find out plugin/theme conflict you can just try on your development site using default WordPress theme like Twenty Thirteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

Could you please tell me which Custom Sidebars, theme and WordPress versions you are using?

Please share some screenshots of the issue.

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, http://imgur.com/ or other image service. 🙂

    Kind Regards,
    WPMU DEV
