can’t edit old or new posts

    i changed the permalinks option to this
    http://www.theundergroundinvestor.com/2007/03/30/sample-post/

    and the live posts on my blog display the URL in this format. However when i try adding a new post and then select “edit” or even if a select “edit” with an old post i notice that the permalink structure is in the default format of
    http://www.theundergroundinvestor.com/?p=123
    and when i click “edit” all i see is a blank page and not any editable content.

    also am unable to upload photos under the write new post function as i receive an error message of “The uploaded file could not be moved to .”

    any suggestions for how to fix these problems?
