Can’t edit theme

I keep getting

Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over FTP.

When I try to edit themes. One of my sites I somehow tried to fix it (I noticed right before ur was fixed on the one I had random error that popped up, I believe it was cpmfetch and then I fixed it and it worked) . I tried to redo what I did on my other sites and it didn’t work. I even installed a fresh WordPress on one of the sites it didn’t work on and didn’t add any plugins or themes and used one of the defaults and I still got the error.

I saw there were topics on this and I’ve tried what was replied there but still doesn’t work. Any suggestions or how to fix it

Try using the Health Check plugin for general troubleshooting. This can determine is a plugin / theme is causing the issues. If its not a plugin / theme then most likely a server permissions issue.

I’ve checked and there are no issues. But I have several people I know that are on different servers and hosted different places are having this as well.

Try updating theme.

If still no joy, for pro or commercial product support, please contact the author directly on their site. Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

the themes are the ones my friend makes but even on new wordpress install on the default ones i have issues. i’m going to try again and see if that works, but probably won’t get to it until tomorrow

nothing on health check and my host said it’s not on the server. but I noticed something when I removed all the stuff in header and entered like a random word it worked fine. So it seems it’s something with the php and the server my site is on runs php 7.2 and my site is updated for that. Any other suggestions or tips
