Can’t edit/add/view post content

    Hi,

    I recently updated YOAST to its latest version, and today I noticed that I could not edit/add/view any post content anymore: I could type, view or edit post title, but the “visual” and “text” editors were totally inactive; I could not click on them; the YOAST module below was kind of weird, showing just icons and no text. Screen options where also stuck (not possible to open screen options – button remained inactive).

    I looked for the culprit (first Jetpack, cache plugin, security plugin, and some random plugins), and everything was back in order when I deactivated YOAST (which I’d rather not do). I can now write, edit, view text in the visual/text editor.

    Have you heard of anything similar? FYI, I haven’t updated my theme, nor added any plugins.

    Issue solved: the culprit (once again…) was JetPack.

    I am having the same problem. Can you tell me how or what you did with jetpack to fix the issue with your site? Began for me as I updated to current version of YOAST. Thanks.

    rughjm, I looked for the culprit, and everything was back in order when I deactivated JetPack. After searching JetPack’s modules individually, I found the culprit: the SPELLING & GRAMMAR feature (“Check your spelling, style, and grammar with the After the Deadline proofreading service.”)

    I deactivated it, and I can now write, edit, view text in the visual/text editor.
    Let me know if this works for you too.
