Can’t enable custom post types

I have Posts set as a custom post type, and it’s been working fine.
When I try to enable some other custom post types (GeoDirectory is the one in particular I’m trying), when I enabled the new post types in settings it looks like it’s enabled after I save, however if I refresh the screen or go to the ‘Post Type Plugins’ settings, then the checkbox unchecks automatically, and I don’t have the ability to set plugins for these post types.

It seems to work fine for ‘pages’ in addition to posts, but not the post types added by the GeoDirectory.
