Can’t enable email notification
-
Hi all, I can’t activate the email notification with woocommerce.
I click the checkbox button to activate, click on save change button, I received a confirmation that settings has been saved, but when I refresh page the checkbox is deselected.

Hi @fedeanimation,
I understand you’re having trouble enabling email notifications in WooCommerce, where the checkbox becomes unchecked after saving the settings. I’d like to look deeper into this for you. Could you please let me know when this issue started? For instance, did it begin after a recent update or after installing a new plugin?
It would also be very helpful if you could share a screenshot or short screen recording showing what happens when you try to enable the email notification. You can upload it using https://snipboard.io and share the link here.
In the meantime, please make sure your WooCommerce plugin and WordPress core are up to date. Then, try disabling all other plugins except WooCommerce and see if the checkbox saves correctly. If it works, reactivate your plugins one by one to find the conflict. You can also switch temporarily to a default theme like Storefront to check if it’s theme-related.
You can follow this WooCommerce guide for step-by-step conflict testing: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.
Finally, please share your System Status Report (SSR) via https://pastebin.com or https://gist.github.com after reproducing the issue. You’ll find it under WooCommerce → Status → Get system report.
Once I have those details, I’ll be able to guide you more accurately. Let’s see how it goes!
Hi LovingBro,
I notice that the issue is started since some weeks, in details I don’t know exactly began thew issue. I think after update WP and Woocommerce because I didn’t install any new plugin.
Here you can find the video screens record of what happens https://imgur.com/a/QSWiI5d.
I have tried to troubleshoot the issue deactivating al plugins, but even with just woocommerce activate the issue occurs.
This is the SSR of my installation https://pastebin.com/JruTyzNa
Hi @fedeanimation,
Thank you for sharing the quick video and your system status report. I tried reproducing the issue on my end but couldn’t, which suggests it may be specific to your setup.
We might need to run another conflict test, preferably on a staging site if you’d rather not use your live site, and then share the new video and site report from there.
Before doing that, please go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and check if there are any fatal error logs. If you find any, kindly share them with us via Pastebin.
Also navigate to WooComerce > Status > tools and perform the following:
- Clear transient for WooCommerce transients
- Clear expired transients
- Clear template cache
And then check for the issue again before sharing the log report.
Hi Moses
I follow your instruction clearing transient and cache, but issue persist.
here the link with the log of fatal error https://pastebin.com/BZWk3ee7
When I try to save te settings of the email I notice the log of fatal error not writing any issue, but I notice there are another log is update every time, is a plugin-woocommerce log. Pls check this if can help https://pastebin.com/DRTHhvjC. This file is huge about 18k of line I just attacched the last.
Regarding stage I will talk with sys admin to create me a stage version.Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the erorr log. That error “Error: Call to undefined function WordfenceLS\get_current_site()” indicates that the Wordfence Login Security module is trying to use a WordPress function (get_current_site()) that isn’t available when it runs — likely during a scheduled cron task.
Also, the warning “Error when setting property ‘parent_id’ for order 372: Invalid parent ID” means WooCommerce tried to link that order (372) to a parent order that either:- doesn’t exist in the database,
- was deleted, or
- was referenced incorrectly by another plugin (e.g., Subscriptions, Deposits, or custom code).
In that case, I’d suggest running a conflict test on a staging site and letting us know what you find. You can use the following plugin to create a staging site:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-staging/Hi, I have tried to activate the troubleshoot mode excluding all pluigins, but issue persist.
I will update when sys admin create stage site.Hi there!
Thanks for the update!
Once your staging site is ready, please try activating a default theme such as Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Five, and keep all other plugins deactivated.
This will help us confirm whether the issue is related to your theme or another plugin. Once you’ve tested that setup, please let us know what you find so we can continue troubleshooting from there.
I have found the issue.
The problem was the Plugin Brevo, after deactivate the plugin I was able to activate all the notifications.
After that I activate the Brevo plugin and the notifications are still active.
Thanks for the support guys 🙂
