If you switch to the default theme and deactivate all other plugins, does that fix the problem?
No it does not. I have switched to Twenty Thirteen and only activated the Events Managers plug-in … still am unable to add an event. The problem seems to have arisen since the Events Manager update and/or the Word Press update. Using Word Press version 3.6 and Events Manager version 5.5. I have added events in the past without problem, but I updated both the plugin and Word Press the same day and now no functionality. I did notice that after the update (a couple days later) the Events Manager was no longer activated. I activated it today and tried to enter an event and encountered the When/Where problems.
are you getting any javascript error in your browser? this is because everything is working fine on my test site using the latest EM and WP versions.
Sounds like it could be a missing or incomplete file caused by an upgrade that didn’t fully work. Try re-installing the plugin (you won’t lose any data).
So you suggest I uninstall the plug-in and then re-install it?
Yes, because it sounds to me like a Javascript file isn’t loading when it should be.
It would be worth clearing your cache and trying in a different browser, but if that doesn’t work I’d try a re-install.
I reinstalled … lost all my events, but the problem was taken care of. Hopefully in the future this doesn’t happen again.
sorry about that. however, to avoid this you can try to backup wp_em_* tables
