I’ve got two problems (that may or may not be related)

    1) Your wiz-bang product doesn’t “require” people to double optin, though I have supposedly set it up to do so.
    2) My list is small and relatively new and I am just now focusing on growing it for the first time. Out of 350 people who have opted in, exporting only exports 147 of the people. Is this cuz your double optin doesn’t work? Or because something else in your program doesn’t work? Or am I just a frigging idiot who can’t figure your product out???

    Thanks.

    Chris

  • Hello,
I meet the same both problems:
1/ my users receive the registration mail but they never receive the confirmation mail. Hence I must set them manually as confirmed …

2/ When I try to export to an CSV file, I get a page with a 500 internal server error !

    I am using WP 4.1.1 and MailPoet 4.6.19 …

    Thanks, Fred

    Hi!

MailPoet 2.7 is out, please update!

You can only export confirmed subscribers. If you’re having issues with people receiving the confirmation email, please try using a third party sending service. More details on how to set it up here:

Also note that you will always have a certain amount of unconfirmed subscribers, we have about 30% 🙂

Good housekeeping is to clear them down each month.

I understand your suggestion t ouse a third party mailer … but I have my own server and I use sendmail. I do no understand why I should use a third-party mail service … furthermore, I can send mails to my subscribers. Is is simply the confirmation mail that is never sent !

Of course I will have unconfirmed … because nobody received a confirmation mail :/

Hi, they will be being sent, it’s probably that they’re getting spam trapped or whatever by the receiving server because your IP could be blacklisted. Could you just sign up for the sending service and try doing the signup to see if you receive the confirmation email – that way we can eliminate that as the problem.

When we mentioned the 30% it’s just that we mean even WITH receiving the signup confirmation, some people just never confirm 🙂

I am sur about this: they are not considered as spam … I checked that my email/server is not blacklisted. I will give a try to your solution of sending service … and keep informed about this solution.

I made a test with a SendGrid account and everything is now ok … thanks!
