Hi @elronchi,
The menu item should be called SSL and will be listed under Settings > SSL in your left-hand WordPress menu.
Hope this helps, let us know!
Kind regards, Jarno
Hi @elronchi,
By default, the menu item will only appear for users with the Administrator role. Does your current WordPress account have Administrator privileges?
Kind regards, Jarno
I know…
But i have searched for it, on all menus, I see it’s installed,
and I don’t find it!
In the plugins overview, do you have a settings link with the plugin? If so, please try what happens if you follow that link.
This a default wordpress installation? Not multisite? Did you check what happens if you deactivate the other plugins?
With the role manager plugin you can check if your user role has the manage_security capability.
Hi,
Default installation, not multisite.
deactivating still not helping.
no setting link
Hi @elronchi,
You can try the following to resolve the behavior, which will allow you to check whether your current user has the manage_security capability that is required to manage the SSL settings:
– Enable the Advanced Access Manager plugin
– Navigate to the Advanced Access Manager plugin by clicking the “AAM” item in your left-hand WordPress Menu
– Find your Administrator account in the right-hand panel under Users, and click the “cogwheel” icon
– Select the Capabilities menu item, search for “manage_security“, and enable the checkbox next to manage_security.
Your account should now have sufficient permissions to access/manage the SSL settings.
Kind regards, Jarno
I had the exact same problem and following @jarnovos instructions I realized that my user had nothing in the registry about “manage_security” so I created it and from there Really Simple SSL reappeared in the menu
