    Hello

Not sure if this anything to do with Cloudflare, but i can’t seem to be able to save any options, I have followed most of the topics and have used Wordfence Assist, with no luck and have deleted and re-stalled.

Found this error, using Safari Show Error Console

    ‘ReferenceError: Can’t find variable: WFAD
    onclickadmin.php:1369′

    Nigel,

Can you try disabling other plugins, and see if you can save your Wordfence options then?

Sometimes a bug in another script from another plugin that loads on admin pages, can interfere with loading of other scripts. If this helps temporarily, you can try activating other plugins one-by-one and seeing which one causes the save button to stop working.

    Hi Matt

Ive deactivated plugins as request and also used WF Assist to clean out tables, the API key did regenerate a new one, however disabling the plugins had no effect and still not able to save options, with only Wordfence Active.

Ive also tried different themes and using different web browsers with no luck.

Ok, the 522 response codes showing up this time are likely from CloudFlare, and that could be stopping the browser from loading the script with the WFAD variable in it.

It most likely means that your host is having trouble, and CloudFlare can’t reach it, so the connection is timing out. It may be that the host limits how many incoming connections come from one IP, but it then could be counting many different visitors coming from a CloudFlare IP.

I think you will need to contact your host — if you tell them what date/time you are getting the “522” errors, they should be able to find out if there was a problem accessing your site at that time. (Even if it’s constant, it gives them a good place to start.

You might be able to temporarily pause CloudFlare in the meantime, to see if you are able to save your options then:
How do I temporarily deactivate CloudFlare?
(Please only try this if you are comfortable with changing CloudFlare settings.)

    Hi Matt

It’s cloud flare, Status paused – save option now works, I’ll also contact my host, thank you for your time and a awesome plug-in.

And on a happy note, switched cloud flare back on and they both seem quite happy together now.
