• Hi,

I’ve had this issue before a long time ago and now it’s happening again. I’m switching over the Google accounts that I configure search console / analytics / ReCAPTCHA with and I can’t finish the analytics configuration. At the point where it asks:

    “Additional Permissions Required

You’ll need to grant Site Kit permission to create a new Analytics property on your behalf.”

I click the button labelled ‘PROCEED’
Once I click this button I get the error message:

    “The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to timwhitnell.co.uk.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.”

This is happening on more than one of my sites. Could it be to do with security I have setup? Could it be to do with the analytics account only being created an hour ago? Please help. The Search Console is successfully setup and working but because of this I am unable to look at any analytics for my sites.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Many thanks for reaching out. As you’re encountering a “page isn’t redirecting properly” notice I suspect this may be caching or browser related if it occurs during the permissions stage.

In order to try and grant permissions have you tried doing so from a Chrome browser incognito window? Let me know if the same occurs, and if so we can perform some additional checks.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
