• Hi, when I upload an image to wordpress it comes up with the broken image box, I am using the latest wordpress with the latest ‘responsive’ theme..
I have hosted images on my site (ebuddyuk.com) using photobucket and pasting the direct link into the site but I cannot use this method to add a background to my site…

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks in advance

No, it uploads as normal but when i go to view it it shows as a broken image, I can put the images in posts etc but they will just come up as broken images (i will put one on the front page now)

I have a feeling it might be something to do with my host (freehosting.com) but I’m really not sure!

Check your uploads path in Settings->Media. It should be blank in most installs. Also check, via FTP, that the file in being uploaded.

Hi, I just checked the settings they are right, the image is also being uploaded to my host correctly, i can paste the image in from the host to my website but when i try to upload through wordpress the image is corrupt, this means i cant change my background or logo :/

Have you tried using another image in case this is image-specific?

    Same issue using png

Ask your hosts to check if they are running the latest version of GD Library on your server.
