Can’t import Excel file

    I’m creating a new website based on the content from an older one. The old site uses Ultimate FAQs, so I used the “Export” tool to export the FAQs to Excel. Then I tried to import that Excel file. I can use the “browse” button and select the correct file, but the “Import Spreadsheet FAQs” button remains inactive, so I can’t complete the import. Please let me know how I can resolve this. Thank you!

    Hi marcelle,

    The import button should actually never be inactive. Even if you don’t choose a file, you can click it, but it will return an error telling you the necessary file type. Is the button inactive when you first get to the import tab, before choosing a file? What happens if you try to click the button. If nothing, then that sounds like there is something else that is conflicting there.

    What happens if you choose a different file, does it show as active?

    Can you check the developer console when you’re in the import tab? Does it show any errors?

    What happens if you deactivate all other plugins and then go back to the import tab, is the button now active?

    If you go to the import tab on your other site and choose the same file, is the button active?
