Are you getting an error message?
Your theme file is probably to large for the default upload size of 2MB. You will need to increase the memory limit within the wp-config.php file.
Try increasing it to
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );

This is the message I am getting. And it cant be done from dashboard also.
The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2017/11.
any help would be appreciated.
