Hi @iguanamom,
Sorry for the trouble you’re facing! The issue you mentioned with ‘Edit with Elementor’ should be resolved by flushing your website’s permalinks. You only need to do this once, and after that, you should be able to edit Elementor without any issues.
But if you are repeatedly facing the issue then additionally, please try increasing the PHP memory limit for your website. Elementor recommends at least 256M, but if you have multiple plugins installed, it’s better to increase it to 512M. To do this, you can edit the wp-config.php file and add the following code before the line that says:
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');
After making this change, check the memory under Elementor > System Info to confirm the update.
It’s also a good idea to deactivate any unused widgets in the Ultimate Addons for Elementor plugin settings. This will reduce server requests and lower the memory usage.
If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to open a support ticket with us. We’ll be happy to assist you further!
Kind regards,
Ankush 🙂
@iankusht thanks for your reply here. I did as you suggested for all of those things but before I went to click save again on the permalinks, I wanted to see if it worked without having to do that again (I did it the last time I was in the site when I started this thread) and it didn’t load. I went into permalinks and clicked save and of course it worked. I got out of the footer section, went somewhere else on the site and back to the footer edit and it loaded again.
IDK what makes it stop working or if this fixed it for good, but I’ll know when I try again in the future. I’ll keep that support link handy in case it doesn’t.
Thanks!
Hi @iguanamom, thank you for sharing the update! It’s great to hear that saving the permalinks resolved the issue for now. Sometimes, re-saving permalinks can help refresh the site’s settings and fix similar problems.
If the issue happens again, feel free to refer to the support link or reach out here for further assistance. We’re happy to help troubleshoot further if needed.
Thanks for keeping us updated, and I hope everything continues to work smoothly!
Best regards,
Ankush 🙂
