• My goal is to change the theme of my site. But it is apparently necessary to use “Network Admin” to do so. (I have forgotten what that is or how it got there. Is it from Jetpak?)

When logged into my Dashboard, I select the drop down next to the key image, selecting Network Admin>Themes (doesn’t matter which topic, same result) and it takes me to another login screen, but the username/pw I used for the site doesn’t work. (Is this the login for some type of uberapp which looks like a WP login window? The site isn’t listed in my http://www.ww.wp.xz.cn list of sites I control.)

The login screen has a strange captcha like: 11 + 5 = (box). So it gets into some type of loop. Sometimes it says, “password field blank”

We tried turning off plugins, etc.

I should add that I have been working on a number of sites in different Chrome windows during the day and deleted cache and cookies.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’m guessing that you have domain mapping going on, and that when you have signed in, you have signed into one of the subsites. When you try to go to the Network Admin dashboard, this will require a new login.

It seems that you have some kind of security plugin putting the captcha on the login. You might try via FTP or your hosting account file manager turning off either this specific plugin (if you can make a good guess which one), or deactivating all plugins by renaming either the plugin’s folder or the folder with all plugins wp-content/plugins.

There are a variety of ways to reset your password if you have forgotten it.
