After I moved site from http to https I can’t log in anymore (site works normally on https). When I try access login page I get ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error. I can only log in if I change it back to http in database (wp options). When I’m loged in and I change back to https in settings, I get error page of course.

I disabled all plugins and changed the theme (back to default) and it still didn’t work.
I tried clearing browser cache, tried different browsers and different computers.

Did you set up an SSL certficate on your host?

Here’s what I do when going from http to https:

    1. Set up the certificate
    2. Use the plugin “better search replace” to search for http://example.com and replace with https://example.com
    3. That forces a logout, so while logged out, I remove all cookies associated with the site and clear my browser’s cache.
    4. Log back in.

Yes, I setup SSL on my host. As I mentioned before, sites work without a problem on https, except that I can’t login.

I tried to replace all links in the database manually before, that didn’t help. I tried using plugin you suggested just in case, but that didn’t help either.

I removed the complete site and made new fresh installation and still had the same problem. I guess there must be a problem elsewhere. Is it possible that there is a problem with host or SSL certificate settings?
