Can’t manually update subscriptions

I am having the same problem as in https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/manually-updating-subscriptions/#post-9563277 but was told by Steve Stern there to start a new thread. The proposed fix at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/mailchimp-integration-add-on-breaks-membership-interface/ didn’t work, unfortunately. I’ve already tried deleting and re-adding members, but this did not fix the problem. I used to be able to manually add subscriptions to members and set their status to “Active”, but now membership 2 keeps resetting the status to “Pending” every time I save it on “Active”, rendering my membership site useless since I can’t give anyone access. Please let me know what to try next. Thank you! I really appreciate your attention to this!
