Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
This most likely means that some other plugin is adding JavaScript code to the TablePress admin pages. This assumption is strengthened by the fact that you seem to have had similar problems with another plugin.
To find the cause for this, I therefore recommend to deactivate all other plugins, except TablePress, and check if everything works then. Then, re-activate the other plugins one by one and check each time, if everything still works. Once it breaks again, you have found the plugin that causes this.

Tobias
Hmm, I deactivated all the plugins, but I’m still seeing the problem. Mybe it’s an issue with the theme — I’ll check into that. Thanks for the response.
Hi,
thanks for checking! Yes, if it still happens after deactivating all other plugins, it’s likely a theme issue. Please check that by temporarily switching to the WordPress default theme Twenty Thirteen.

Tobias
Hi,
sure, no problem. So did this fix it? If yes, there’s a JS problem in the theme, and you might want to look for script errors in the JavaScript error log in the browser.

Tobias
I didn’t try switching to 2013, but I contacted the theme developers and they confirmed it’s a conflict in the theme since WordPress 3.6. Now I’m waiting to hear back from the client for approval to update the theme (there’s a lot of customization, so it’ll take some time/money). Thanks again for the follow-up.
Hi,
very nice! That’s great news! I wish that all theme developers where responsive like this. I hope that this can be sorted out for you and your client.
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
i had the same problem in my ex-theme not in the tablepress but in all the “drag and drop” action in the dashboard. it was the theme to me too.
Hi,
thanks for the info! Yes, that most likely means that those seems change or replace the JavaScript code that is used for that drag and drop.

Tobias
