I’ve been using the Advanced Ads plugin for years on my WordPress / Divi website with mostly zero issues. I logged in today to try and add a new ad shortcode to my custom blog template in Divi, and the blog template won’t even open. It just sits there and the progress wheel spins nonstop.

I tried it in both MS Edge and Google Chrome, same issue. I also tested a completely different website of mine (that isn’t running the Advanced Ads plugin), and the custom divi blog template opened up fine.

To give more context, I built a custom blog template in Divi’s theme builder. In that template, I have a sidebar where I add my Advanced Ads shortcodes. That way, as new blogs are posted, these ads show up on every post. This has worked fine for years, up until today. As I said, when I click to edit my Divi blog template, it will not open. Since it opens up fine on a website without the Advanced Ads plugin, I’m guessing this is an issue with your plugin.

Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your message!

To confirm whether the issue is caused by Advanced Ads, could you please keep the current setup without changing anything, and temporarily disable Advanced Ads, and then try editing the Divi template again to see if you can access it?

Please let me know the result.

    Have a great day!

    Thank you for your reply.

I just deactivated the Advanced Ads plugin, and I was still not able to open the Divi template. I’m guessing that means the Advanced Ads plugin was not the problem. Thanks again for your input.
