Can't Override CSS

Hi there,

I’m having a lot of trouble doing something that should be extremely simple: override the gallery’s caption CSS! I’m trying to change the color of an element, and am unable to override them from my theme’s stylesheet or from an nggallery.css file.

I’ve tried to load my custom stylesheets in the “Other Options” area, but wherever I put my styles (I’m using the correct CSS selectors AND !important statements), NONE of them activate!!! The default styles ALWAYS overwrite, and whether my new styles are in the ngg_styles folder or in the theme’s main stylesheet itself, they’re never used.

How can I overwrite the default styles?? I feel like a crazy person. Thank you!!

PS: The Pro Slideshow is rendered in an iframe and cannot be modified with custom CSS that is generated outside the iframe …

Thanks, Cais, appreciate the response. I’ll contact support that way.

As to your PS: so, since it’s in a iframe, is there no way to style this, except by JS?? That seems ridiculously asinine to me. No offense to a developer who may be reading this, but why would you release a “Pro” version of ANYTHING that can’t be customized??

@gaswirth – We are moving all of our displays out of their iframe rendering to make customizations easier but we also review feature requests here: http://nextgen-gallery.com/feature-voting/ for options we can add to make these customizations easier as well.
