    the theme http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/librio is too old to support threaded comments.

    That a pity because it’s a nice clean template.

    Can you suggest a similar one that’s more up-to-date?

    Hi Jane,

    I would look at the free ones here – http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/
    and look at the recently updated and released.

    The nature of your site is quite serious and sophisticated, so I would think that a theme that focuses on cleanliness and typography would be fine.

    Twenty Twelve would be a good choice. Having said that tastes are very subjective.

    Funnily enough Twenty Twelve is one of three that I tried and still have it installed.

    It’s good but it will need some playing with to keep formatting intact.

    I may see if I can play with it offline on my pc.
