It sounds like there might be something else going on. This plugin doesn’t make any permanent changes to user permissions. All menu customization disappears when you deactivate it, and the plugin’s settings are deleted from the WP database when you uninstall it.
Have you used any role management plugins recently? One way for subscribers to get access to the Appearance menu would be to give the “Subscriber” role additional capabilities. If you have a role editor installed, check the capabilities of that role. Normally it will have the read capability and nothing else.

Thanks for the quick response. So, that’s not the problem caused by this plugin.
And, nope, I haven’t used any role management plugins in the site recently or ever. And, hey I just checked if it’s read only mode but no they can do everything.
