I have given the Author role the capability to edit others and published pages and this works fine. Then for a specific page I ticked:

    “Edit
Restrict access to edit a post (also the link “Edit” and “Quick Edit” will be removed below the post title).”

However, the Author can still edit the page. What am I missing?

I’m looking at buying the pro extension as I only want to allow editing of a couple of pages and I understand from a previous post that this is possible. But if I can’t restrict editing then I don’t think it will help.

  • Hi artisanweb,

Typically when you have this issue, the caching is involved. Make sure that you have AAM caching OFF while you configuring access to your posts and pages. In order to turn it OFF go to Utilities tab and toggle the switch.

    Vasyl
