    Hi Give folks,

I’m a new user and love your plugin! I set up the main donation form for the site I’m building on my development localhost as your documentation explained and everything went excellently. The form worked even better than I expected and was very straightforward to set up.

Once I deployed the site to the server, however, the donation form had reverted back to the default. I can make changes to the form, but the changes don’t save with the update button and each time it reverts back to the default settings.

I tried turning off various plugins, but it’s not resolving the issue. My development site has all the same plugins, so it doesn’t seem that’s likely the issue.

    What could be the issue?

    Thank you!

    hi Give folks again,

I upgraded to the latest version just now and I’m still having the same issue. I make changes to the form and add multi-level donations but when I click update, all the levels disappear. Or I click on the button style in display options, hit update and it reverts to “all fields.”

Please help! Or I’ll need to get different plugin and I really like yours.

Hey @xuzi – Apologies on the delay getting back to you here. I’m not sure how we didn’t see your initial post.

I’m glad your initial setup went smooth. Let’s try to figure out what’s different in the live environment. Thinking through it, since it sounds like you already eliminated a plugin conflict, my next guess would be perhaps there may be a database permission or restriction preventing the Give plugin from updating content in it’s database tables.

Where is this site being hosted? When you moved the site from local to the live site how did you migrate the database? And, finally if you look at the live site do you see the give specific database tables? For instance, wp_give_formmeta should be there.

    Hi Devin,

Thank you so much for responding! The site is hosted at 1&1 as an addon domain.

I used the Duplicator plugin to migrate the site and database. To do this, I first created a new database via 1&1’s dashboard mysql.

I just looked at the database tables now and no, the wp_give_formmeta is NOT there. The wp_give_donormeta and wp_give_donors are there though.

Just checked against the localhost database and also missing on the server site are wp_give_logmeta, wp_give_logs, and wp_give_paymentmeta

What do I do? I haven’t run into this before. Thank you!

Hey @xuzi – are you using Give version 2.0+?

I was using 2.0.3. Just updated to 2.0.4. Still having same issue.
