Can’t save changes to some posts

    I am suddenly unable to save edits to some posts. I am using Beaver Builder lite with Astra Theme and my host is Hostgator. I click ‘save’ but the ‘saving’ indicator on the top tool bar just ‘hangs’ and the post text remains grey. This only occurs for some posts but not others. For example I can save changes to text on this post:

    The posts have similar content, style, etc.
    However, so far I haven’t discovered a page that I cannot edit and save, but I have a lot of pages so perhaps this is also occurring for some pages.
    So far I have deactivated all plugins (except beaver builder lite) in case that is the cause, but this has not fixed the issue.
    A few months ago I added the following line to the wp-config.php file in my WordPress home directory:
    define( ‘FL_BUILDER_MODSEC_FIX’, true );
    when I encountered a similar problem – and this solved the issue – until now.
    I have looked through similar support questions for potential solutions but haven’t found any except the ones I’ve already tried.

    Hey @georgiamorris,

    It definitely sounds like an issue caused by ModSecurity. Can you check your site’s wp-config.php file again and check if the modsec fix is still there?

    Thanks – I did check to see if the modsec fix was still there and it is. So I’ll fill out the contact form. Thank you.

    Resolved via email.

    Issue was caused by ModSecurity. The hosting company was able to whitelist the modsec rule which was causing the issue.
